Featured artist: Junko Mori
Part 2
In looking at Junko Mori work more closely, I found her metalwork pieces intriguing and the similarities in process to my jewellery sculpture uncanny. Perhaps this is because of the organic botanical subject matter and allowing the form to develop fluidly. This quote I found from her artist statement when exhibiting her work at the Holburne Museum seemed most appropriate.....Enjoy!
"In my making process, I do not pre-design my final work but let the components grow."
